Schneider Electric Leverages Arteris FlexNoC for Industrial Control Applications
Network-on-chip Interconnect IP speeds design, improves process flow
CAMPBELL, California — November 12, 2013 — Arteris Inc., the inventor and leading supplier of network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect IP solutions, today announced that Schneider Electric has implemented the Arteris® FlexNoC® interconnect IP fabric for use in its latest industrial control products featuring real-time, extremely low latency Ethernet functionality. The FlexNoC IP fabric ensures that Schneider’s customers’ experience the fastest interconnect speeds for improved performance.
“Arteris and their team of engineers delivered a product that exceeded our expectations,” said Patrice Jaraudias, ASIC Design Manager of Schneider Electric. “Our previous experience with commercial fabric IP involved numerous defects so we were extremely pleased with Arteris’ NoC technology, level of support and product quality.”
“Arteris is very excited to work with Schneider Electric and demonstrate the value of our NoC interconnect fabric IP in industrial applications,” said K. Charles Janac, President and CEO of Arteris. “We are honored they have chosen us as a partner to support the increasingly complex needs of the industrial control market.”
Arteris FlexNoC is the leading interconnect fabric IP chosen because it provides chip design teams with key advantages:
- Accelerated time-to-market through shorter design cycles
- Reduced die size and cost of chips
- Ability to produce multiple chip versions based on a common SoC platform
- Greater interconnect speeds resulting in improved performance
- Reduced power consumption due to advanced clock and power management features, and fewer gates and wires
