Centillium Communications to Utilize MIPS Technologies’ 32-Bit Processor Cores
Developer of Broadband Communications Technology Expands Use of the MIPS32™ 4K Family of Cores
MOUNTAIN VIEW and FREMONT, Calif., July 3, 2002 MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPS, MIPSB), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital consumer and business applications, today announced it has licensed two MIPS based cores to Centillium Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTLM), innovator of broadband communications technology. The MIPS32 4Kc™ and 4Kp™ cores will be used to develop powerful but cost-effective solutions for the growing broadband communications market.
