Kilopass Appoints Pioneer NVM Developer Christophe Chevallier Vice President of Engineering to Drive Kilopass NVM Memory Enablement
Update: Synopsys Expands DesignWare IP Portfolio with Acquisition of Kilopass Technology (Jan. 10, 2018)
Chevallier’s 20 Years of NVM Engineering Management Experience To Expand Kilopass’ Scope and Bandwidth in NVM Business
Santa Clara, Calif. – July 15, 2014 – Kilopass Technology Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor logic embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) intellectual property (IP), today announced the appointment of Christophe Chevallier as Vice President of Engineering. He will report to Harry Luan, who has been promoted to be the Sr. VP of R&D at Kilopass. Christophe will be responsible for the existing Kilopass OTP engineering operations, as well as all patent related efforts.
“We are thrilled to have Christophe join our expanding advanced memory design team,” said Kilopass’ Harry Luan. “His expertise and experience in non-volatile memory development at Rambus, Unity Semiconductor, and Micron will greatly expand the engineering management team’s ability to address the business expansion needs.”
“I am excited to be joining Kilopass, the company that pioneered the embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) business since 2001,” said Chevallier. “What makes engineering compelling as a profession is the development of technology and methodology breakthroughs. I’m looking forward to applying all my skills to doing just that at Kilopass, so that our engagement with 150 plus customers through all the foundry partners can be further automated, stream-lined and expanded.”
Chevallier’s engineering career spans over two decades beginning with major semiconductor companies Catalyst Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics and AMD. He joined Micron in the early 1990s where he led the development of flash memory products. At Unity Semiconductor he defined novel cross point array concepts for selection, decoding, and sensing of Unity’s proprietary Resistive RAM (ReRAM) technology. After Rambus acquired Unity, he continued to lead the ReRAM program until end of 2013. He is an expert in all aspects of patent and legal process, with over 235 patents in memory design in his name and is a frequent speaker at major semiconductor and memory conferences.
