Xilinx Showcases Smarter Solutions for Data Center Flash Storage and Application Acceleration at Flash Memory Summit 2014
SAN JOSE, Calif., July 29, 2014 -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced it will showcase smarter solutions for Data Center flash storage and application acceleration at the Flash Memory Summit 2014. Through a series of demonstrations, Xilinx will highlight cutting-edge high performance flash storage and FPGA-based acceleration solutions for use in next-generation data centers including Xilinx's acceleration reference design and OpenCL™ compiler technology. These solutions are based on our All Programmable 28nm and 20nm silicon which delivers the industry's leading performance and significantly lower power for the flash storage market and help reduce design risk, improve productivity and bring products to market faster. To learn more, visit Xilinx at booth #710, August 6-7 2014 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, California.
Xilinx in-depth technical demonstrations at FMS 2014 will showcase:
- Key Value Store Application Acceleration
The Xilinx demonstration is a broadly applicable key value store workload acceleration engine (i.e. Memcached and NoSQL) that delivers significant performance/watt acceleration at substantially lower latency and compliments the OpenCL design environment for Xilinx® devices and Vivado® HLS development tools. This solution leverages the Alpha Data ADM-PCIE-7V3 board which is based on the All Programmable Virtex®-7 FPGA.
- NVMe Flash Storage Platform Featuring a Kintex-7 FPGA
This demonstration is an NVMe-based flash storage solution running on a Xilinx Kintex®-7 FPGA development platform showcasing a fully compliant NVMe spec 1.1 interface. This solution leverages Xilinx leading SerDes performance and power optimized FPGA solution while enabling the latest industry protocol for the flash storage market.
Xilinx Demonstrations by Alliance Program Member
The following Xilinx Alliance Program member will showcase a Xilinx-based technology demonstration in their FMS booth:
IntelliProp, Inc. – Booth #725
- Demonstration of a production ready SATA 6Gb/s NAND Flash Controller with architectural support for SSD drive capacities up to 8TB based on a Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA.
