Dual Port Register File Compiler (1 Read-Only Port, 1 Write-Only Port)
GDA Technologies, Inc. selected by Motorola as a member of the Motorola Design Alliance Partner Program.
San Jose, California - July 22, 2002 - GDA Technologies, Inc., a fast growing supplier of Electronic Design Services (EDS), today announced that Motorola has formally selected it as a member of the prestigious Motorola Design Alliance Partner Program.
The membership, which is effective immediately, will allow Motorola and its clients to utilize engineering design services offered by GDA in Systems, Boards, SOCs, ASICs, FPGAs and IPs. The program will also enable Motorola to provide GDA with third party design tools, technical support and a collaborative environment to help serve its clients better.
Motorola's customers can utilize GDA's six years of extensive hardware, software and design validation expertise based around the Motorola PowerPC family of microprocessors. GDA has designed several platforms around this family of processors, which include the high performing MPC7450, MPC7451, MCP7455, the highly integrated MPC8240, MPC8245, the communication processor MPC8260 and the management processor MPC860. Chipsets used around the PowerPC family of processors include Marvell's Discovery, Discovery II and Mailogic' Atricia S.
GDA offers immense embedded software expertise in PowerPC based designs. GDA's embedded software team can port Embedded Linux or VxWorks to customer platforms and deliver BSPs with custom device drivers wherever necessary. GDA has mastered the programming techniques around the UPM interfaces in some of the highly integrated PowerPC CPU's.
Leveraging its extensive PowerPC based design expertise, GDA has created a valuable debug and diagnostics software tool. This tool provides a basic PPC boot monitor along with extensive diagnostic routines and loop-back tests. It also provides file download and execute capabilities along with register-level debug capabilities. This tool will allow customers to shorten debug and test cycle time, which is a significant portion of the product development cycle.
"GDA is proud to be a part of this prestigious program to help serve Motorola's customers better. By banking on GDA's extensive design experience and Motorola's support, customers will achieve greatly reduced time-to-market goals," said Gopa Periyadan, Vice President of System and Software Design Services.
GDA has enabled a variety of designs for OEMs and System Integrators based around the PowerPC family, which include a Voice-over-IP platform, Storage Area Networking systems, a cPCI based Single board computer using dual MPC7450s, a Network Cross Connect Platform, Switches and Routers.
