NVM Express, Inc. Elects HGST, Micron, Microsoft, Samsung, SanDisk and Seagate to Board for 2015
WAKEFIELD, Mass.-- January 20, 2015 --NVM Express, Inc., the organization that developed the NVM Express specification for accessing solid-state drives (SSDs) on a PCI Express (PCIe) bus, today announced the results of its recent board election. Elected to Promoter positions are HGST, Micron, Microsoft, Samsung, SanDisk and Seagate. These six companies will join existing Promoters Cisco, Dell, EMC, Intel, NetApp, Oracle and PMC to lead NVM Express, Inc. in 2015.
Representatives from Promoter companies form the NVM Express, Inc. Board of Directors, which governs the organization. Promoters are NVM Express members elected for a two-year term; they are eligible for re-election. All Contributor and Promoter member companies are eligible to run for Promoter positions.
