eInfochips Announces 'IoT Xcelerator' - A Framework for Solutions Built on IoT Platforms
Framework Accelerates New Product Development Cycle From Sensors to Cloud Deployment to Analytics
SUNNYVALE, California -- February 9, 2016 -- eInfochips has announced its Internet-of-Things (IoT) framework called 'IoT Xcelerator', aimed at product companies that are looking to monetize opportunities in a hyper-connected future which would thrive on billions of smart devices. The IoT Xcelerator framework helps in reducing the time-to-market for clients who wish to develop IoT products and services across sensors, Cloud and Analytics but are stretched in productizing their concepts.
eInfochips' IoT offerings include software for multi-protocol gateways, cloud management, data analysis platforms, hardware for gateways and edge computing devices, IoT Server frameworks, and engineering design services to help build custom business application solutions for Smart Retail, Smart Cities, Smart Transit and Smart Factories.
"IoT Xcelerator framework encapsulates the full maturity cycle of IoT development from smart sensors to gateways to the cloud and to smart analytics. We have supported a number of innovative products and solutions such as Smart Cameras, Smart Transit Systems, Industrial Automation, Remote Healthcare Dispenser Systems, Retail Surveillance, and Smart Kiosks," said Parag Mehta, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at eInfochips. "With integrated solutions, the framework is scalable and flexible to support the clients at any stage of the product development life cycle."
The number of hyper-connected devices globally is already approaching 200 billion, while the number of sensors that track, monitor, or feed data to those things were already more than 50 billion, with scientists talking about trillion-sensor networks within 10 years. (Source: IDC estimates, 2014).
The IoT Xcelerator framework provides Edge, Gateway and Software solutions. The Edge and Gateway framework is based on Eragon, which enables distributed computing capabilities, wireless and bluetooth connectivity options, and GPS capabilities as well. The Software framework provides a stack that eases the effort to connect, manage, and control data from sensors, gateways and system layers. The software framework also enables the cloud deployment, and provides a platform to crunch the data and build insightful analytics for decision making.
