HCC Embedded's Extensive Suite of Advanced Middleware Now Available for Xilinx Zynq-7000 SoCs
High-performance storage and networking software ensures security and reliability for embedded and industrial IoT platforms
Campbell, California – Sept. 14, 2017 – HCC Embedded, experts in software for securely storing and communicating embedded data, has added support for the Xilinx Zynq®-7000 All Programmable system-on-chip (SoC) family of devices. Developers using Xilinx Zynq-7000 SoCs now have access to HCC’s entire suite of advanced flash storage and communications middleware. Solutions for Zynq SoCs include fail-safe flash file systems; MISRA-compliant TCP/IP, TLS, and encryption; and USB with network integration, fail-safe bootloaders, and integration services.
HCC’s software components are completely portable and have no dependencies on RTOS, tool-chain, or hardware. All required drivers and abstractions are supplied, ensuring no integration is required for any RTOS- or “no-RTOS”–based IoT application.
HCC’s extensive suite of software is designed to ensure that data stored in flash or communicated by an embedded IoT application is secure, safe, and reliable. With HCC storage software, embedded NAND, NOR, or SSD always works with a guarantee of correct operation, and communications software is ensured to be stable and high quality. HCC’s network and security software is developed using formal process and is supplied with rigorous static analysis reports and other quality verification, improving reliability and security.
“Security and reliability are critical for embedded designs,” said Jayson Bethurem, Cost Optimized Portfolio Product Line Manager at Xilinx. “With HCC’s support for Zynq-7000 SoCs, developers can leverage multiple levels of hardware and software security from our Zynq devices in addition to HCC’s verifiable network stacks, security and encryption modules, and file systems for even more secure connectivity in their IoT applications.”
HCC’s TCP/IPv4 and IPv6 code is supplied with a detailed static analysis report, demonstrating compliance with the MISRA-C coding standard. Critical software modules including Encryption, TLS, IPSec and IKE, SNMP, MQTT, and HTTPS are supported with additional life-cycle artifacts providing MC-DC code coverage analysis to ensure higher levels of network security.
“HCC’s release of its middleware suite brings a whole new layer of software capability to the Xilinx Zynq-7000 SoC family,” said Dave Hughes, HCC Embedded CEO. “Engineers can now quickly and easily integrate Xilinx peripherals and storage media to a high level of quality. Our collaboration with Xilinx delivers robust embedded software solutions capable of managing network communications to keep data secure, reliable, and fast.”
