AMIRIX appoints Sandra Greer as President & CEO
HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, January 13, 2003 - AMIRIX Systems Inc., a provider of customized embedded systems design services, announced today that Sandra Greer has been appointed President & CEO.
"In light of the significant progress that AMIRIX has made since her appointment as Interim CEO in April of this year, we are very pleased that Sandra has accepted the position of President & CEO for the longer term," said Doug Pincock, Ph.D., AMIRIX Founder and Chairman. "In a very short time, Sandra and her team have stabilized operations, increased sales and re-established our reputation as leading edge designers."
"We've had to fundamentally change the way we do business to succeed in today's economic climate and secure our future." added Greer. "Thanks to the dedication and support of both management and employees at all levels who quickly adapted to these changes, we are now enjoying very positive rewards."
Having recently secured contracts with three well-established companies in the Atlantic Canadian region to further evolve their product lines, AMIRIX is looking forward to developing these and other local relationships.
"We are in the business of helping companies realize product development goals so they can compete successfully in the global marketplace," said Greer. "By increasing our efforts to provide that service to companies here in Atlantic Canada, we can help foster regional economic development and that's good for everyone."
Prior to this appointment, Greer held various positions with General Motors, Aliant, Bristol Group and AMIRIX. She brings over 16 years of sales, marketing and business development in the technology industry to her current role.
