Elliptic Semiconductor Launches its Partner Program Elliptic Alliance Partner Program (EAPP)
Update: Synopsys Expands Security Solutions with Acquisition of Elliptic Technologies (June 29, 2015)
16 July, 2003 – Ottawa, Canada. Elliptic Semiconductor, a leading company in broadband wireless semiconductor intellectual property, announced today the launch of its' Elliptic Alliance Partner Program (EAPP). Designers today are looking for proven technology and low-risk implementation of complex integrated circuits. By working together, IP vendors, design centers and end customers are able to tackle extremely complex integrated circuits and deliver them on-time and on-budget through the complementary skill sets offered in this partner program.
"The launch of our EAPP program provides the means by which partners will be able to diversify their offering and differeniate themselves in the emerging wireless markets, while minimizing risk and expense." Al Hawtin, vice-president Sales and Marketing at Elliptic Semiconductor said., "Elliptic suite of proven IP provides unmatched performance over traditional power hungry implementations.and dramtically reduces our customers' time-to-market"
Elliptic partners, under its EAPP program will now be able to make available for use/resell/promote Elliptic Semiconductor Intellectual Property (SIP) to their customers. Elliptic SIP, which encompass ultra-low power TCP/IP protocol processors with integrated security capability including Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) support. These cores offer highly secure, fully interoperable end-to-end security. EAPP partners will have access to the entire suite of new security SIP components including a family of highly optimized ciphers, hashing engines, complete SSL record processing engines and an IPSec security engine. This will allow partners to design low power wireless networking solutions for applications ranging from PDAs, PocketPCs, Proximity Smart Card systems and Point of Sale transaction products.
