Rambus Appoints Ronald May as Vice President of Corporate Marketing
LOS ALTOS, CA -- September 16, 2003 -- Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS) today announced that Ronald May has joined the company as vice president of corporate marketing. Mr. May was most recently vice president of corporate marketing and communications at Synopsys, Inc., and brings over 20 years of experience to Rambus in the areas of both consumer product and high-tech marketing from companies including Quantum Corporation, Tandem Computers, Logitech and Mattel.
"Ron brings a wealth of experience to the organization and is an excellent addition to our executive team," said Geoff Tate, CEO of Rambus. "With his background in both high tech and consumer markets, Ron has a great combination of skills that will help us deliver our high-speed interfaces to the world's leading companies in the computing, consumer and networking arenas."Mr. May will direct all corporate marketing and communications efforts for the company, including advertising, public relations, user events and trade shows, global brand strategy, the company's public internet site, collateral development and international communications programs.
He holds a BA from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA from the Los Angeles campus of Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
