Denali's PureSpec Used by QualCore Logic's Design Team to Verify PCI Express Core
SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 20--QualCore Logic Inc., an intellectual property (IP) and full-service, mixed-signal application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) realization company, today announced Denali Software's PureSpec™ verification software was used by its design team to simulate and verify a PCI Express design interface core. PureSpec contains thousands of assertions and enabled the team to confirm the core's compliance with the PCI Express specification and verify that it is interoperable with other PCI Express devices.
"We're focused on the design side both for analog and digital while Denali holds the leading position in verification IP," remarks Mahendra Jain, president of QualCore Logic. "This relationship allows us to focus on our core competency and use the best available solution to verify our design."
PureSpec is the leading verification IP product used by chip designers worldwide to simulate, and verify PCI Express and Advanced Switching interface designs. For PCI Express, PureSpec models all devices in the topology, including the root complex, switch, endpoint, and PCI Express to PCI bridge. Within PureSpec, all protocol layers -- physical, data link, transaction -- of the PCI Express specification are fully modeled and can be simulated concurrently or independently.
Built on Denali's Memory Modeler Advanced Verification (MMAV) used to verify complex memory interfaces for thousands of successful designs, PureSpec provides seamless integrations to all popular electronic design automation (EDA) tools and verification languages. Proven product platform, dedicated customer support, and unmatched EDA modeling and verification expertise make PureSpec the best-in-class verification IP solution for PCI Express designs. It is available now at: http://www.denali.com/purespec.
"QualCore Logic has an excellent reputation as a design realization company and an impressive mix of silicon IP," adds David Lin, Denali's vice president of product marketing. "It's been a pleasure working with a solid and professional organization such as QualCore Logic."
