Vativ Technologies Partners With QualCore Logic For Physical Design
Sunnyvale, Calif., May 17, 2004 –– Vativ Technologies, Inc. of San Diego, Calif., today named QualCore Logic Inc. its design partner for physical design. This comes after QualCore Logic’s design realization team successfully completed the physical design of three integrated circuits (ICs) used for Vativ Technologies digital signal processing (DSP) solutions for wired communications.
QualCore Logic, an intellectual property (IP) and full-service, mixed-signal application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) realization company, assumed responsibility for the physical design of each chip from netlist to GDSII through tapeout to TSMC. All three chips –– two implemented in 0.18-micron and one in 0.13-micron process technologies –– worked the first time.
“QualCore Logic’s impressive design realization team was able to meet our demanding product specifications and daunting project schedule,” Keith Vertrees, Vativ Technologies’ vice president of engineering, remarks. “This is why QualCore Logic is our design partner and will be an integral part of our project team.”
Adds Mahendra Jain, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of QualCore Logic: “Vativ Technologies has an expertise in networking design and turned to QualCore Logic for our design realization expertise. This relationship gave Vativ Technologies a ready-made team of experienced designers, and access to our production-proven design flows.”
