(NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced availability of the new version 6.2 release of the Xilinx System Generator for DSP development tool that fully supports the MATLAB 7 and Simulink 6 software packages also introduced today as part of The MathWorks Release 14. Furthering Xilinx's XtremeDSP initiative, System Generator v6.2 also provides performance and database enhancements that make it easier for designers to build sophisticated digital signal processing (DSP) systems with Virtex™-II Pro and Spartan -3 series FPGAs.
