Ubicom Selects Denali's Verification IP Products for Chip Development Efforts
Denali's PureSpec Used to Verify Compliance, Interoperability of Chip Interfaces
PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Denali Software today announced that Ubicom(TM), Inc., a leading provider of communications processor and software platforms, has selected Denali's verification intellectual property (IP) products for its chip design and verification efforts.
Ubicom engineers use Denali's PureSpec(TM) verification software to model and simulate interactions between its chips and other devices in the target system. Its unique, multi-threaded processor design, real time operating system and application level solutions combine to ensure a high quality user experience with unprecedented ease of use.
"Our customers demand high-quality, ultra high-reliability system-on-chips that utilize leading-edge interface standards," said Jon Gibbons, Ubicom's director of engineering. "Functional verification of these systems is critical, especially for the chip to chip protocols, and that's why we chose Denali. The quality and completeness of its verification IP enables us to produce a high-quality product on time."
Denali's PureSpec verification IP includes complete bus functional models (BFMs) integrated with thousands of assertions that enabled Ubicom to verify its chip interfaces for compliance with the specification and interoperability of other devices in the system.
Adds David Lin, Denali's vice president of product marketing: "We are impressed by the quality and expertise of Ubicom's engineering teams; they have developed some great technology for addressing a demanding application space. It has been a pleasure working with them, and we look forward to engaging in many more designs with Ubicom."
