DDR4 Multi-modal Memory PHY
Optimized for performance, power efficiency and flexibility in server, networking, computing and consumer applications.
The Rambus DDR4 multi-modal memory PHY supports data rates from 800-2400 Mbps and is compatible with JEDEC standard DDR4, DDR3, LPDDR3, and LPDDR2. The combination of industry-leading performance and power efficiency with superior design flexibility provides customers with a differentiated and easy to integrate solution.
The PHY consists of a Command/Address (C/A) macro cell and Data (DQ) macro cells configured to create a 72 bits wide channel. The PHY is delivered as a fully-characterized hard macro and contains all of the necessary components for robust operation including:
• IO pads
• PLL
• Power Mode Management
• Transmit and receive paths
• Clock distribution
• Control logic
• Power distribution
• Electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuitry
