This macro-cell is a 6 bit resolution matched dual flash ADC, capable of resolving signals at a conversion rate of 2.6 GSps. The ADC consist a T/H stage which will sample the data, a ADC core which will compare and resolve the held signal to thermometer decoded bits. An encoder with themo-gray-binary conversion scheme converts the data into binary bits. The output path includes a DeSerializer to reduce the output data rate to 1/8 of sampling frequency. A averaging and compensation techniques have been used to get high ENOB at close to nyquist rate. The product has several other features inbuilt such as LVDS outputs with low/high voltage interface option, high input dynamic range & gain matching between the dual channels. The ADC is ideal for use in Ultra Wide Band, WPAN or GHz range direct RF down conversion kind of applications.
