A new generation of ultra-integrated transceiver IP is now available to the market, purpose-built for today’s demanding high-speed I/O needs in data-centric SoCs. This IP Core offers multi-protocol support, PCIe Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 (2.5–8.0 Gbps), SATA Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 (1.5–6.0 Gbps), USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (5.0 Gbps), and 10 Gbps chip-to-chip links — in a single, compact slice.
Crafted using advanced 28nm Fully Depleted SOI technology, the transceiver is optimized for both performance and power efficiency. It delivers:
Support for up to 4 serdes lanes, enabling scalable I/O bandwidth
Advanced equalization and eye-monitoring for signal integrity at higher speeds
Embedded impedance calibration, PLL, and adaptive TX/RX tuning
With built-in self-test modes, JTAG access, and support for USB3.1 Type-C connectivity, the design seamlessly integrates into diverse system architectures while simplifying validation and manufacturing test flows.

Thanks to DC-balanced encoding, integrated FIR equalizers, and low-voltage operation, the solution enables robust signal transmission over copper or optical media, across backplanes, or directly chip-to-chip.
Developers can expect enhanced interoperability and lower total cost of ownership by consolidating multiple PHYs into one IP. It’s an ideal choice for high-performance SoCs, networking ASICs, and storage controllers demanding multi-standard, compact SerDes.
