Las Vegas, Nev. — At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) opened the show’s preview day with its annual tech trends presentation, projecting that global consumer technology sales for 2025 will reach $1.3 trillion. While overall consumer spending growth is expected to be flat in 2026, the EMEA is forecast to drive growth.
However, we should not get too carried away: The research points to modest growth in the EMEA region, compared with flat performance in North America and a decline in China (see chart below). The CTA said the outlook underscores the industry’s resilience at a pivotal moment, as companies navigate economic challenges, shifting supply chains, and growing pressure on consumer spending.
