STMicroelectronics has announced that its motion‑sensing and secure wireless components are now integrated into Qualcomm Technologies’ newly launched Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, designed for next‑generation AI‑driven wearable devices.
The collaboration brings ST’s low‑power sensors and security solutions to Qualcomm’s personal AI ecosystem, supporting features such as always‑on sensing, improved power efficiency, and enhanced activity and health monitoring capabilities in future wearables.
Simone Ferri, Executive Vice President of the MEMS Sub‑Group at STMicroelectronics, said the partnership strengthens the company’s role in advanced wearable technologies. “By combining ST’s pre‑validated reference designs and software with Snapdragon’s new personal AI platform, OEMs can utilise ready‑to‑use solutions that accelerate time to market, simplify integration, and deliver always‑ready, smart wearables,” he said.
