Overwhelmed, humbled, and incredibly proud: Neuron IP was honored with the 2026 Startup of the Year Award at the ChipsNorth Executive Summit. What an incredible moment for our team to be recognized for Semiconductor Achievement and Innovation by Canada's Semiconductor Council.
Receiving this award from Chris Smith, VP at AMD, and celebrating alongside respected pioneers of Canada’s semiconductor industry including Hamid Arabzadeh CEO of RANOVUS Inc., Velko Tzolov Director General of CPFC, Melissa M. Chee CEO of ventureLAB, Professor Andre Salama of University of Toronto and Dino Toffolon SVP of Synopsys Inc made the occasion especially meaningful. Being surrounded by so many leaders in the ecosystem, many of whom I’m fortunate to call friends, colleagues, and mentors, made it a truly memorable experience.
This year’s recipients highlighted the remarkable depth and strength of Canada’s semiconductor ecosystem, with companies and leaders helping position Canada at the forefront of next-generation semiconductor technologies. To be recognized among such an accomplished group is deeply humbling.
A sincere thank you to the board of Canada's Semiconductor Council for believing in what we are building, and special kudos to Paul Slaby and the entire team for creating such a high-energy focal point for the ecosystem.
...and most importantly, congratulations to the entire Neuron IP team. This recognition reflects your talent, dedication, and relentless hard work.
We’re just getting started!
