BOS Semiconductors, an automotive AI fabless company led by CEO Park Jae-hong—a former vice president of Samsung Electronics' System LSI and foundry divisions—has completed tape-out of its automotive AI accelerator 'Eagle-N' and is now moving into full-scale commercialization validation with German and Chinese automaker customers.
In an interview with Chosun Biz on the 16th of last month, Park said, "We completed tape-out through Samsung Electronics' 5-nanometer process in July this year," adding, "We are now entering full-scale evaluation with German and Chinese automaker customers." Since production decisions for automotive semiconductors hinge on real-world vehicle testing results, the evaluation and validation process is critical.
