China's semiconductor IP leader VeriSilicon Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (688521.SS) delivered a half-year report marked by surging revenue and widening losses. According to its 2026 interim report disclosed on the evening of August 17, first-half revenue reached 1.864 billion yuan (approximately $276.9 million), up 91.37% year-on-year, while net loss attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 612 million yuan (approximately $90.9 million), with the loss widening approximately 91% from a year earlier.
The market reaction was muted after the earnings release. As of the midday close on August 18, VeriSilicon traded at 214.77 yuan per share with a total market capitalization of 112.951 billion yuan (approximately $16.8 billion). The stock continued to slide in the afternoon, closing the full session at 216 yuan, down 4.55%. Measured against its intraday high of 375.67 yuan earlier this year, the stock has pulled back more than 42% from its peak.
