Keysight Joins Verizon 6G Innovation Forum to Accelerate Pre-Standard 6G Validation

Keysight adds independent design, emulation, and test expertise to help advance 6G prototyping, standards alignment, and field readiness

SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Keysight Technologies has joined the Verizon 6G Innovation Forum, adding independent design, emulation, and test expertise to a growing ecosystem focused on pre-standard 6G research, prototyping, and field readiness. The forum brings together leading operators, network equipment manufacturers, chipset companies, cloud providers, device innovators, and test partners to explore 6G technologies, test new spectrum bands and bandwidths, and support alignment with global standards bodies such as 3GPP and ITU.

The wireless industry is moving from 5G-Advanced toward early 6G system concepts, where ideas must be proven while standards are finalized. New spectrum bands, AI-native networks, integrated sensing and communication, digital twins, advanced wearables, and edge-driven applications all require a more rigorous path from research to real-world deployment.

For Keysight, participation in the forum reinforces its role as a trusted validation partner for the wireless ecosystem. Pre-standard 6G development requires more than simulation alone. It requires repeatable testing, accurate emulation, over-the-air measurement, and troubleshooting across the full product life cycle. Keysight’s capabilities help forum members evaluate concepts earlier, compare results more consistently, and reduce the risk of fragmentation as 6G technologies mature.

It has also identified future ecosystem demonstrations involving integrated sensing and communication, digital twins, robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced wearables, with the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles viewed as an important proving ground on the path to commercial 6G deployment.
