Faraday Technology (3035.TW) announced at its October 27 investor conference that it has secured a 2nm GAA cloud AI project from a U.S. customer, with a total value in the tens of millions of dollars — the largest project in the company's history. Revenue recognition is expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with Samsung handling wafer fabrication in collaboration with United Microelectronics. Third-quarter consolidated revenue came in at NT$3.66 billion (approximately $112.8 million), up 11% quarter-over-quarter and 13% year-over-year, with a gross margin of 42.5% and earnings per share of NT$1.07. Mass production revenue of NT$2.91 billion (approximately $89.7 million) was the main growth driver. The company forecasts fourth-quarter revenue roughly flat versus the prior quarter, with gross margin recovering to 45%, and expects all three product lines — IP, NRE and mass production — to grow in 2027, targeting double-digit full-year revenue growth.
