Siemens EDA, in collaboration with NVIDIA, has unveiled an "AI-Native Design" strategy that embeds artificial intelligence throughout the entire semiconductor design process. The company has built a "self-verifying agentic AI" workflow where multiple AI agents autonomously verify, debug, and correct designs, slashing cell characterization time from weeks to days and boosting processing speed by more than 10 times. Siemens EDA has adopted an open ecosystem that integrates various large language models from OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic, while ensuring reliability by re-verifying AI-generated results through physics-based EDA engines. The EDA business grew over 30% in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, and Siemens plans to expand its integrated digital thread offerings to target the surging demand for AI chip design.
