Samsung is upgrading its aging 8nm foundry process. The company reportedly plans to introduce 8LPU+, a new version of its 8nm technology, with better performance and efficiency. This could help the Korean firm get more value out of its older production lines.

Samsung’s 8LPU+ will deliver faster, more efficient chips

According to a report from ETNews, Samsung will unveil the 8LPU+ process before the end of this year. The new platform is the second generation of its 8LPU process, which arrived in 2018.
