KUALA LUMPUR: SkyeChip Bhd's expansion into artificial intelligence (AI) silicon and Arm-based compute platforms is expected to contribute limited revenue in the near term, UOB Kay Hian (M) Sdn Bhd said.
The firm said more meaningful earnings contributions are likely to emerge only after successful tape-out and volume production.
UOB Kay Hian said the initiatives could provide a second leg of growth for the semiconductor company from 2029 onwards.
"In the meantime, SkyeChip's established silicon intellectual property (IP) and custom application-specific integrated circuit (Asic) businesses should remain the key earnings drivers," it said in a note.
