BrainChip and Croatian deep-tech company Neuromorphyx have developed the BrainBoard1500, a compact developer board built around BrainChip’s AKD1500 neural-network accelerator. The platform brings neuromorphic AI to Arduino-compatible embedded systems, with integrated tools for evaluating inference performance and power consumption.
For eeNews Europe readers, the board provides a practical way to evaluate spiking neural networks under the power, latency and size constraints of embedded devices. Its Arduino Nicla compatibility also opens the AKD1500 to developers already working with established MCU and sensor ecosystems.
