US semiconductor chip and intellectual property (IP) company Rambus unveiled its auxiliary chipset portfolio for DDR5-9600 client memory modules on May 26.
The chipset is designed for use in high-speed DDR5 CUDIMM (Clocked Unbuffered Dual Inline Memory Module) memory modules for high-performance desktop PCs, high-capacity four-rank Clocked Quad DIMMs (CQDIMMs), and CSODIMMs (Clocked Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules) for notebook computers.
The product family consists of three key components: the second-generation CKD02 client clock driver (CKD), the PMIC5120 power management integrated circuit (PMIC), and an SPD Hub (Serial Presence Detect Hub).
