SiliconReef acquires a set of Chipus high performance analog IP licenses
August 10, 2010 -- Chipus Microelectronics, a high performance analog and mixed-signal IP (intellectual property) supplier, announced today that SiliconReef, a design house specialized in the development of low-power analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), has acquired a set of Chipus analog IP core licenses. SiliconReef has successfully integrated Chipus IPs into its high efficiency energy harvesting chip, called EH01. Lower time-to-market, ultra-low-power consumption, compact area and unparalleled integration support were the key characteristics for SiliconReef to choose Chipus as its analog IP supplier and partner.
Marilia Lima, CEO of SiliconReef, said: 'Besides speeding up the EH01 chip development and helping to minimize the time-to-market of the product, being able to count on Chipus IPs allowed us to concentrate in the development and integration of the EH01 chip at system level'.
'The stringent needs of SiliconReef, as a promising start-up developing state-of-the-art energy harvesting chips, matches perfectly with our high performance and ultra-low-power analog IP cores', said Murilo Pessatti, CEO of Chipus Microelectronics.
Chipus offers high performance data converters (A/D and D/A) and power management IP cores, targeted for ultra-low-power and/or high performance applications like portable devices.
