Videantis becomes member of German Automotive Cluster
Videantis provides key semiconductor technology for next-generation Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Infotainment
Hannover, Germany, January 29, 2015 – Videantis today announced it has joined the Automotive Cluster organization, a key automotive supply network of the Metropolitan Region of Hannover, Braunschweig, Göttingen, and Wolfsburg. This region houses the headquarters of companies such as Volkswagen, Robert Bosch Car Multimedia and Continental. With more than 130 member companies, the Automotive Cluster is a key platform that promotes the cooperation between suppliers, manufacturers and researchers.
Videantis licenses unique video and vision processor IP that enables next-generation ADAS, IVI, and display solutions. Automotive safety solutions based on the videantis platform benefit particularly from the abundant image and video processing performance, the flexibility and upgradeability, and the extremely low power consumption. This makes advanced image processing feasible even inside small automotive camera modules. Specialized low-delay and high-dynamic-range video coding solutions optimized for Ethernet AVB further reduce cabling and system cost.
Florian Rehr, Project Manager of the Automotive Cluster says, “We welcome videantis in joining our automotive cluster, a key platform for the automotive industry in Northern Germany. Their video and vision processing technology merges perfectly into the present member structure of our innovative and advanced technology suppliers. As a valued member of our community, we’re looking forward to grow together.”
“We’re happy to join other member companies such as Bosch, Continental, IAV and Siemens. Videantis is ideally headquarted in the heart of this automotive-focused region and we are looking forward to further expand our automotive network and client base in Germany,” says Hans-Joachim Stolberg, videantis CEO.
