DSP Group, Inc. Appoints Two New Roles - COO & President of US Operations
SANTA CLARA, California, August 28, 2002 -- DSP Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: DSPG), a global leader in the development and marketing of high-performance, cost-effective digital signal processing (DSP) cores and system-on-a-chip (SOC) products for corded, cordless, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony applications, announced the appointment of Boaz Edan as Chief Operating Officer of the company, effective October 1, 2002.
Mr. Edan has served as Senior Vice President, Products Division Manager, in charge of the fabless semiconductor activities of the company since January 2000. Mr. Edan joined the company in May 1999 and served as Vice President Operations. In his new position as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Edan will continue to report to the company's Chief Executive Officer.
The Company also announced the appointment of Yaniv Arieli as President of its U.S. Operations and Corporate Vice President in charge of worldwide business development and investors relations. Mr. Arieli joined the company in February 1997 as the company controller , and from August 2000 served as Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Arieli will be reporting to the company's Chief Operating Officer.
