March 30, 2004 - Keil uVision simulator supports all of DCD's 8051: DP8051, DP8051CPU, DP8051XP, DR8051, DR8051CPU, DR8051XP. Each processor has its own peripherals driver  including the registers, pins, bits of certain module (e.g. Timer 0, Timer 1, UART0, PORTS, PMU as for DP8051) and their functional description. It allows user to use native uVision interface to design C/ASM application, compile it and check its functionality using Keil simulator, without having a hardware DCD's 8051 parts. It is an ideal solution at pre-silicon development stage of C/ASM software, when software engineers have early access to the full set of CPU's peripherals, functionally identical to the hardware IP Core. When silicon version (or FPGA prototype) is available, engineers can immediately execute developed application inside hardware using the same Keil uVision tool, run in debugger mode. Hardware debugging with Keil uVision is supported by DoCD target driver.

The DCD peripheral driver and DoCD target driver packages are freely available for all DCD's users. Both can be downloaded at http://www.dcd.pl/asoft.php. For further details please contact DCD -  http://www.dcd.pl/acontact.php
